We conducted all of our filming within five consecutive weekdays from the 19th to the 23rd October 2015. We started filming on the Monday morning and shot the first outdoor scene after being informed that the indoor drama studio we planned to use was occupied. We used our original actor, Charlie, to create depict the killer walking in his white forensic suit (presumably to commit an act of evil) in one of the flashbacks but due to medical issues he was unavailable for the days that followed. Again we weren't able to use the studio on the second day.
We did the least filming on Wednesday but completed shooting the indoor flashback scene in the Design & Technology workroom (TE5) the following day. This consisted of close-ups and mid-shots of our killer handling tools in his bloodstained clothes and disposable forensic gloves. I also made sure that we filmed miscellaneous shots from around the room, such as the "eye protection must be worn" sign.
Friday was the last day of shooting. Finally, we were able to use the drama studio without interruption as it was available period 1 (as well as periods 4 and 5 if we required more time). We shot the closing scene in which the killer disposes of a bin bag (containing the victim's body) by throwing it into the trash. This was really extra footage as we wanted to avoid having insufficient footage to complete our two minutes.
After we faced difficulties accessing the drama studio on the first day for our interrogation scene, we had to make changes to our film schedule. As the producer, I contacted the school's office to find out which time periods the location would be available to ensure we could complete our filming. This was challenging as we wanted as more than an hour to film and had to compare this information with all of our individual time tables. At times the studio was not available at the same time that we were.
